A crystal clear blue sky is also reflected in the ripples on the water.

The brushstrokes extend outside the "natural" vertical.

I painted this on an October day in Peoria. I hoped to capture the warm reflections on a lake.

This pony barn hadn't been used in years. It added a good pop of color and focal point to this calming scene at the edge of the lake.

For those you who are familiar with Hoerr Nursery in Peoria, IL, this is the lake just off Highway 91 on Hoerr Nursery's property.

As a small child, I started taking art classes at Joslyn Museum in Omaha. Every Saturday morning I was at the museum for a class. As a five-year-old, I won my first art contest and distinctly remember the drawing I had created being used on the cover of the spring catalog for Joslyn Museum. My childlike enthusiasm for art and happiness creating art is in my DNA now. It’s part of every piece of art I create.
