Your privacy is important to you. With that in mind, we have developed a Policy for you to understand how we collect, disclose, and make use of your personal information.

Overview

We are a very small business. We plan to get bigger, but currently we honestly don’t have the resources (or the inclination) to bury ourselves in data to track you through social media or wherever your day may take you.

We want you to like our art, our educational resources, and the other stuff on our websites. And, if you encourage us, we’ll direct some marketing to you to ask you to come back and see us again.

We’ll email you, and, if we have your actual geographic address, we’ll send you pretty post cards, etc. from time to time. We’re a very hands-on manual paper-and-pencil-and- paintbrush, kind of an operation.

If you ask us a question, we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can. Generally, “we” are just one person; just me, so if “we” are super busy or traveling or sick with the flu, it could take a couple weeks. Sorry. But that’s the way it is. Feel free to check in, and we’ll give you an honest answer.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our sites, take a class, fill out a form, or purchase something from us.

When ordering or registering on our sites, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, email address, mailing address, or phone number. You may also visit our sites anonymously. If you leave a comment, or a “like,” we don’t collect any information other than potentially the comment itself. We use if for our own improvement. 

Here is the type of personal information that we may collect: Device information, order information, and customer support information.

Device information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
  • Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
  • Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
  • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify.

Order information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.
  • Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
  • Source of collection: collected from you.
  • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify as well as a connected sales channel from which the sales traffic originated (ie Pinterest, Facebook).

Customer support information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.
  • Purpose of collection: to provide customer support.
  • Source of collection: collected from you.

 

What do we use your information for?

Many of our services, downloads, posts, and articles, do not require registration and no personal information is collected.

If you input any personal information, some of all of it may be used in one of the following ways:

To process transactions

Your information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.

Note: we do not receive or collect any information from your credit card, debit card, PayPal or other payment service. That information is managed by that third party. We are charged a fee for using the third-party service to compensate them in part for managing your confidential payment information.

We never have access to any complete financial processing information which you have provided for a transaction. We may sometimes have access to the last four digits on a payment account that you may have used (like a debit or credit card).

To send periodic emails

The email address you provide may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional news, updates, related product or service information, to ask for feedback, or to encourage you to buy more services or products, etc.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We are an art and art education company. We offer artwork, art ideas and art classes to children under 13 years of age as well as all ages. We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). We do not intentionally collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. We ask that all forms, contact info, comments, etc. be completed by individuals age 16 and up.
