This is an original painting that is signed by Jane M. Mason.
Notes From The Artist...
As happens, this was a day of 100 different weather patterns. A stormy sky unveiled a bright blue sky until a confused sunny-stormy sky rolled through.
I caught this solitary pop-up cloud burst as I was watching the weather glide through. This lake was covered with water lilies and they rose, crested, and fell in waves as the wind passed over the lake.
This painting includes not only watercolor paint, but some gouache (white paint), watercolor crayons and watercolor pencils. In addition, there is scraping with a sharp pointed edge in the foreground as a foundational element for the cattails.
This is a scene from a rural area in Minnesota.
